General Overview
Macias Golf Hub tournaments are designed to be competitive, fair, and fun for golfers of all skill levels.
Eligibility
- Open to invited members of the group
- Handicaps must be established prior to play
Handicaps
Our tournaments — particularly the skins game — are based on GHIN handicaps. Your GHIN index is used to calculate your course handicap for each round, so it is strongly advised that all players have an active GHIN account before participating.
No GHIN? Here’s how it works:
- You use an alternative app or program (18Birdies, TheGrint, etc.) — you’re welcome to use it, but expect some good-natured scrutiny from the group. We can’t guarantee it won’t get questioned mid-round.
- You have no handicap system at all — you’ll need to present your handicap number to the group for approval before play. We’ll take it under consideration… with the appropriate level of side-eye.

Conduct
- Respect fellow players
- Follow rules
- Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification
Tournament Rules
Macias Golf Hub follows the USGA Rules of Golf. In addition, we have the following club rules:
Out of Bounds (White Stakes)
There is no out of bounds. If your ball lands in a white-staked area and is unplayable, take a 1-stroke penalty and play from the point of entry. If your ball is in a white-staked area and you can play it without leaving the golf course (no jumping fences), you may do so with no penalty.
Divot Relief
If your ball comes to rest in a divot on the fairway, you may move it to the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole — no penalty. If your ball is in a divot outside the fairway, you must play it as it lies.
Payout Structure
Tournament payouts are published ahead of each event and apply only to that specific tournament unless otherwise stated.
